The Shard - London
The Shard was designed in 2000 by Renzo Piano, the Italian architect best known for creating Paris’s Pompidou Centre of modern art with Britain’s Richard Rogers. The London entrepreneur Irvine Sellar had decided to redevelop Southwark Towers, a 1970s office block next to London Bridge station, and flew to Berlin in March 2000 to meet Piano for lunch. According to Sellar, the architect spoke of his contempt for tall buildings during the meal, before flipping over the restaurant's menu and sketching an iceberg-like sculpture emerging from the River Thames. He was inspired by the railway lines next to the site, the London spires of Venetian painter Canaletto and the sailing masts of the capital's past.

Show homes and Developments are where PixelCase HD Virtual tours truly shine! With so many pictures and floor plans to look at, there needs to be something that makes the home stand out. Our virtual tours enable the viewer to have a look around the complete house. A view of the kitchen, garden, bathrooms and media room gives the casual viewer enough reason to visit the showroom in person and to have a chat to the sales person.

This old building will never be the same again. In 2009 the building will be part of a large scale commercial and residential development. These tours will be an integral part of the plan and will be utilised as “time audits”.
